HELLO & SALAAM سلام In Farsi, we say salaam as a greeting, it’s our “hello!”. In other languages (notably Arabic but the list is long phewwwww) it’s a shortened version of as-salāmu ʿalaykum, meaning “peace be upon you”. Wear this mask and expect to make new friends when you’re out and about, or at the very least get some sneaky looks of recognition from locals on the subway.

The pandemic is “winding down”, but it’s important to continue to protect ourselves and others. Plus, if you’re like me, you haven’t caught a single cold all year and love masks now. I only made a few and won’t be making more, so snatch them up before they're all gone!
